Brussels World Film Festival is a seasonal GOLD FilmFreeway competition to be celebrated at the Brussels city.
We are committed to promote new filmmakers projects and showcase their films to international audiences. Our mission is to screen independent films of all genres from all around the world.
Official GOLD competition on FilmFreeway — seasonal editions with laurels and jury awards.
Celebrated in Brussels — independent cinema in the heart of Europe, open to the whole world.
Selection process
Once you submit, your project is reviewed and rated by our screeners team.
Films with the highest scores join the Semi-Finalist Selection and receive a laurel by email.
★ Laurel by emailAll Semi-Finalist movies are watched and reviewed by our Jury, who select the winners.

This film portrays the Korea of my childhood, filled with poverty, warmth, family, and unforgettable memories. I am deeply honored that this personal story has reached audiences across borders. Rules & terms
If you submit your film, you agree with the following rules ↓Short films must be 40 minutes or less.
Films must be fully completed prior to the submission date.
Vimeo, YouTube or FilmFreeway — other formats are not accepted.
Films in any other language must have English subtitles.

BWFF has no premiere status requirements.
All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
We do not offer fee waivers.
BWFF may use portions of your film (including trailer / teaser / stills / poster) for promotional purposes.
You must own the rights on your film in order to submit.
Festival event dates and times might be delayed or changed.
We are not liable for any copyright infringements or unauthorized usage; any conflict should be settled by the parties involved.
You are responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits and publicity.
Feedback will not be given to non-selected films.
BWFF can disqualify any film whose content the festival considers inappropriate. Questions regarding this decision? Contact us.
All submissions in personal categories require the name of the person and the category — you can easily send this information in the cover letter on FilmFreeway.
Not all submissions are selected for the official competition. Our judges are free to make their own choices and no answers will be given about non-selected films.
